You’re not creative.
You don’t have enough time.
And it’s just not your thing.

Are those some of the things you’re thinking when it comes to cooking? You’d love to put together delicious, healthy meals but you’re no Ina Garten or Martha Stewart. Where do they even come up with their ideas? And more importantly who has the time? You work long hours, the kids' homework needs to be checked, you can never get the dishes to be done at the same time. And, again who has the time?

You do.

You have the time, and you too can be creative in the kitchen. And it doesn’t necessarily mean a whole day in the kitchen unless that’s what you’re in the mood for.

Give me a weekend and I will arm you with the skills you need and help change the way you cook so you can unleash your creativity, whatever amount of time you have. From getting your kitchen set up for success to a weekly shopping game plan and the pro tips no one talks about.  It’s all about the techniques: knife skills, cooking techniques from sautéing to braising, flavor building. All of these foundational skills will have you putting dishes together that seemed beyond your abilities.

THE NUNCHI STORY

Eating, cooking, playing with new flavors and ingredients is how I relax, and it’s how I have fun. Knowing how much longer a dish needs, what it is needs, and finding that balance time and again is an underappreciated talent. I love it, and I love getting people to see that they have that ability too and it’s not that hard to get started with their own cooking adventures.

Nunchi Retreats is my way to get you to start on your own adventures, boldly, and with confidence.  To unlock your creativity and realize that time is indeed on your side.

I’ve been cooking for as long as I can remember and am known for my Sunday dinners. As an avid traveler I’ve had the opportunity to experience different flavors and dishes the world over. Hell, it’s one of the main reasons I travel.

A couple of years after college I decided to go to Culinary school and earned a Culinary Arts diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education in 2004. The ensuing years have been spent cooking for private parties and providing private cooking lessons. All while working a full time job in the Advertising industry. A cooking Mad Woman.

After spending a year traveling around the world through Europe, Asia, and South America, I’ve accumulated a wealth of knowledge on ingredients and flavor combination that I can’t wait to share. Oh and I LOVE whisky so don’t be suprised if after a day of cooking a bottle comes out to end the day right.

So, are you ready to start your culinary adventure?
